Adrianne is a seven-year-old Chihuahua mix and she weighs seven pounds. She has oversized radar ears that are on alert. Adrianne was hand delivered to Home Fur Good by the county shelter. She has been sharing her kennel with another doggie and she seems to really enjoy the company. Since coming to Home Fur Good, Adrianne was adopted out briefly. The family immediately fell in love with her and thought she was perfect, but she was returned for possible medical issues. HFG made sure that Adrianne saw the vet and got all required treatment. It turns out that she has chronic dry eye, and she will require eye drops for life. Adrianne warms up very quickly to new people and she will approach you for attention. She has the sweetest little squeak when she needs your attention to get more pets. She will make an amazing lap dog for a lucky family. The adoption fee is $150 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm.

Maybe you have heard rumors about the sweetest pooch at Home Fur Good. Maybe you have been to the shelter and wondered about the sweet, petite girl with bat-like ears who appears almost fur-less. Well, wonder no longer. Amari has shown patience like no other, and finally she can search for her forever home. Amari will turn three years old on March 29th. She is a 39-pound Pit Bull mix who is pretty sure she is a lapdog. Amari was discovered at the county shelter back in April 2019. Upon arriving at HFG, it did not take Amari long to be adopted. She was a little too playful with the family dog, and that adoption only lasted three days. Amari came back to HFG and that is when her world was turned upside down. First, Amari went into medical isolation for ringworm, and then she was diagnosed with MRSA. Amari spent months healing, recovering, and working to get back to being able to socialize. Finally, Amari was cleared to join the general population at HFG, but her skin and fur condition was not changing. Amari started allergy shots in December 2019. Immunotherapy injections cause the body to stop generating symptoms after exposure to certain allergens. Amari will need to continue her injections, every 10 days, until December 2020. The need to continue her injections is not going to interfere with her hunt for a forever home. Finding a home full of love and care can only help her feel better. Along with the shots, her new family will need to keep her on a diet of hydrolyzed protein dog food and treats for the rest of her life. Amari will also need to continue taking Apoquel for the itchiness. Amari is an absolute joy of a dog, so happy, friendly, and playful that any family would be lucky to have her. And the family that commits to the care Amari requires will be the hero that she deserves. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm.

These two sweet dogs enjoy being active, loving walks, hiking, swimming, and camping trips. They are crate-trained, they both do very well off-leash, and they are obedient. Bailey and Jax are hoping really hard that they will find a forever home together; they need each other. Also, they will do best in a home with no children, as they tend to attach to adults and become protective of their adult humans. They are very loyal to their people. Have you heard that two is better than one? That is truly the case when it comes to bonded pair Charlie and Sasha. Recently, they were taken to the groomer for a spa day, and then their owners decided not to pick them up. It is hard to imagine how anyone could abandon such sweet little cherubs. The groomer, Annie, being an amazing person, took the dogs home to figure out the next plan. They are both Chihuahua mixes; Sasha is three years old and weighs 12 pounds and Charlie is four years old and weighs 14 pounds. Annie said that all dogs prefer her husband, that is just the way it is, but Charlie and Sasha preferred Annie. She said eventually her husband won them over, but they have a preference for women. The trick is to win over Charlie, and then Sasha will follow his lead. Annie said that both dogs used her doggie door and if there was no door available they would nudge arms, letting people know they needed to go outside. Charlie, Charles Xavier, is the love bug who watches over Sasha. He also likes to burrow under the covers at bedtime. Sasha, Sassy Pants, is also a sweetheart, easily won over with treats. Come down and meet these two and watch them interact; it is heartwarming to watch them look after each other and take turns being the leader while they explore. The total adoption fee is $350 for both and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm.

Chiara was turned in at the county shelter as a stray. She spent two months at county before Home Fur Good fell under her charm. Chiara is a four-year-old, 60-pound Pit Bull mix. All of her county notes state how excited she was to come out of her kennel and that she was friendly and active on each outing. Chiara is just bursting to get out of a kennel and be allowed to explore. She is a joy to be around, but with her size and strength, she will need a family with dog experience and matching energy, to help her learn how to express that exuberance in a calmer way. Her bursts of energy do start to wane, and she will lie down and actively seek some belly rubs and pets. Chiara will be an amazing addition to her forever home; she will offer a lifetime of positive vibes. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. This beautiful 2 yr old girl came to us pregnant and ready to pop that day-we thought. Well it took about a month and she finally gave birth to 7 kittens! That's why she was so big! She has raised her babies and is now ready to relax and find her home. Jolene does not wish to share her humble abode with any other cats, she must be the only queen there! she does not care for other cats or dogs, and should be owned by an experienced cat owner. She can play pretty rough and will let you know when she wants you to pet her and when she doesn't! So no children or elderly recommended for this queenie! $85 adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip and a free wellness visit with our vet within two weeks of the adoption date. As of 4/1/20-we do not have any kittens available at this time. We do have some in foster, so hopefully in a few weeks! You may still fill out an inquiry if you like and I will try to contact you when we get some in. We are getting a lot of calls, so please be detailed on what pets you have at home and what you are looking for. Currently we are only making appointments for adoptions. Thank You! Kittens! Kittens! Home Fur Good has a variety of kittens of different ages, temperaments, and colors. Our kittens come and go pretty quickly, so call or stop into Home Fur Good to see who is there! (Photos shown are of past kittens and are no longer available, we get new kittens all of the time). Kittens are always best in pairs. They are still growing physically, mentally, socially, emotionally. They play together, entertain each other, learn from each other, sleep together and provide comfort to each other. Kittens are not recommended to pair with a senior cat. Senior cats don't usually like the annoyance of a kitten for very long. How long can grandma and grandpa handle the toddlers 🙂 Single kittens are ok if you have another cat at home. Here is one article (there are many if you would like to do some research first): · Healthier, happier cats: Kittens raised in pairs get lots of exercise from playing with each other and develop better social skills. · Peace of mind while you are away: Two kittens will be able to keep each other company while you are out of town or at work. · Endless hours of entertainment: Kittens love to romp, wrestle, play and then curl up and clean each other off. Who could imagine anything more joyful than watching kittens play? · Less wear and tear on you and your house: Out of boredom, a single kitten will often entertain itself by chewing plants, climbing drapes and (or your pant leg!), unrolling toilet paper, exploring electrical cords and sockets, etc. If they have another kitten to tumble around and play with it is less likely they’ll need to entertain themselves in destructive and dangerous ways. · Kittens are very active at night: It is tough to get a good night’s sleep when you have a rambunctious kitten jumping on your head or attacking your toes. If given a buddy, they can entertain themselves while you get your Z’s. · A single kitten is not a good companion for an older cat: Older cats are less active and often don’t appreciate a young kitten’s attempts to play. Two kittens can entertain themselves while the older one relaxes. Their $100 adoption fee ($150 for a pair) includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip and a free wellness visit with our vet within two weeks of the adoption date. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday, 11:00 am-4:00 pm and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Missy is a cute little 3 yr old fun gal! She is the cutest and most playful and silly cat that we have! If there is a box or a bag, she will be in it. Missy likes to bat toys around the floor, play with other cats, and will entertain herself for hours! She has come a long way since we got her in Dec 2018. She loved to play but would not like us to use our hands to pet her. Our guess is that she had a bad experience with someone being very rough with her. So she is a bit of a rough player at times. She loves to play with toys and play with you with string/stick toys. She is beginning to know what a loving hand feels like, and we can pet her and pick her up, she will just let you know when she is done! 🙂 She likes to have her face rubbed. The more she learns to trust you, the better she will become. She really is a fun cat! Peabody has not had a lot of luck finding a home that is forever. He will be turning 10 years old in April and he is a 12-pound Chihuahua mix. His first arrival at county was back in 2012. He was returned several times over the years. His family lost their home one time, and most recently, he was not bonding with his male owner but was extremely affectionate with his female owner. Peabody is a bit apprehensive in new situations, but if you move slowly and talk it through with him, he is very receptive to becoming your buddy. He does prefer the ladies, and would do best in a home with older or no children. Peabody is good with cats and other dogs; in fact he is currently sharing a kennel with another dog. Peabody is a curious little trucker who would enjoy daily strolls about town. The adoption fee is $150 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
