Animal Sponsorship Program

Sponsor A Sweetie!

Some of our adorable dogs and cats, through no fault of their own, end up having an extended stay with Home Fur Good. Others have special needs that require extra attention and care. You can help these wonderful animals as they wait for their forever homes by sponsoring one (or more) of these animals!

By sponsoring, you’ll free up Home Fur Good funds for other needy animals and you help offset costs of medical and dental care that some of our rescue animals require. Your gift is much appreciated and tax-deductible.

How It Works:

  • Select one of our animals pictured below.
  • Click on “Sponsor Now” below the animal’s picture.
  • Fill out the requested information.

What You’ll Receive From Home Fur Good:

  • A sponsorship certificate with your animal’s story.
  • Monthly pictures sent to your phone or email (whichever you prefer).
  • When your sponsored animal is adopted (YAY!), you’ll be notified and will receive a happy adoption photo.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to transfer your sponsorship to another animal at that time.

How Much Does a Sponsorship Cost?

To sponsor one animal, you may choose the tax-deductible contribution amount.

Bob

Bob

Say hello to Bob! Bob was named for his short little “bobcat” tail that gives him a unique and adorable look. Bob was found abandoned outside of a shelter in a carrier. Attempts to find his owner were unsuccessful, so Bob is now on the hunt for a new family. Bob is an outgoing cat who likes attention, and is social and playful with both people and other cats. Bob has been with us for a few months while we figure out some medical needs he has. In this time, we have all gotten to know (and LOVE!) Bob quite well. Bob is a special need’s kitty. He has the issue of incontinence, which is a result of his spine not fully forming en-utero, which has caused him to have no sensation in his hind end. In case you were wondering, kitty diapers ARE a thing! Bob will go home with his special diaper harness; the pads need to be changed several times a day. Bob is otherwise a young, healthy, and wonderful cat. He deserves a family that will love and accept him just the way he is.

Serena

Serena

Serena is a smooshie-faced glamour-puss! Home Fur Good could not resist this cutie-patootie that they spotted at the county shelter. Serena is six years old and she is a 55-pound Pit Bull and Shar-Pei mix. (Serena arrived at HFG at 67 pounds, with walks, playtime, jogs on RunBuddy and consistent diet, Serena got her girly figure back). Serena has now spent an entire year in the shelter system. She arrived at county in September 2021 and then came to Home Fur Good in December 2021. Serena is curious and outgoing; she happily exits her kennel with anyone at any opportunity. She likes to explore, and she does so without hesitation.

Randy

Ahhh, what to say about RANDY? Home Fur Good loves this guy, and we know his perfect family is out there that will love him just the way he is. And the way Randy “is,”… is a bit special! ;-) Randy has had a few failed adoptions thus far, but we all know you don’t often find true love on the first try. Randy has spent quite a bit of time with our trainer, who has helped us gain some more insight into his personality.

Petey

Petey came to Home Fur Good in November 2021 after being found as a stray. He was coming up on a full year at HFG, and steps have been taken to help him complete the process to find his forever family. Getting his stats out there, he will soon be turning three years old, and he is a 53-pound, Boxer mix. HFG has always known that Petey is a good boy and that he has amazing potential to learn new tricks, skills, and the desired behaviors to become an amazing canine citizen. Petey has spent two full weeks in Board and Train with George at Couth Canine. Petey was introduced to heeling and sitting at his handler’s side. Petey loves going on walks and adventures, and by learning leash manners, his opportunity to go out and about increases tenfold. Petey thrived with school and having a pack leader. Petey’s biggest desire is hanging out with people and feeling pets and affection.

Greta

Greta

Greta is a young cat that has been through a lot lately. She was a feral cat that gave birth to a litter in her finder’s roof. She is the mother of our “G” kittens; Gaia, Giana, and Geneva (they have all been adopted!). Greta is still adjusting to a domesticated life surrounded by people. For now, she will warn you away with hisses and swats. We discovered that she does enjoy being pet with a back scratcher; she is just not quite ready for real hands yet. We are confident that given time and space, Greta will learn that people are here to care for her and love her. If you are looking to help foster or adopt a special cat in need, please call 602-971-1334 to for a meet and greet appointment with Greta! Greta’s adoption fee is $85. She is listed at one-year-old. All Home Fur Good cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, vaccinated appropriate for their age, tested for FIV/FELV and vet checked. Home Fur Good Animal Rescue is located at 10220 North 32nd Street, just south of Shea Blvd in Phoenix.

Guinness

Guinness is a busy little bee that has been on the minds of those at Home Fur Good who make the journey to county to find new residents. Three weeks after the initial meeting, Guinness was still at county searching for his forever home, so HFG brought him in to try and help with that search. He is a four-year-old, 18-pound, highly active Chihuahua mix. Guinness knows that he is handsome, and he asks that you allow him space; he is not one of those dogs that wants to constantly be picked up and snuggled. He is confident in himself, and he does not require all that assurance. With his dash of chihuahua attitude, Guinness will do best in a home with older children. He has really begun to trust his favorite volunteers, and he will seek affection and glorious head scratches. Guinness loves the game of fetch, he goes batty for squeaky toys, and for now, playing is much more fun than dozing the day away!

Sissy

Sissy

Sissy came from a feral cat colony. She was extra social and discovered to be pregnant! Sissy went into a foster home where she raised her kittens. She took a minute to adjust to shelter life and the Free Roaming Cat Room. But now, she is one of the first to greet visitors into the room. If you pick up a play wand, Sissy will be first in line to play. Sissy is one of the few that seems to enjoy all the activity of kitten season and all the young ones bounding about the cat room.

Bubba

Like a Big Boy? Bubba is ready to become your new favorite. Bubba was in the home of a foster for the county shelter. He had his foster mom wrapped around his paw and she reached out for assistance from Home Fur Good. Bubba was 80 pounds of love bug, his trainers at HFG have helped him to lose 11 pounds! He was a Velcro dog to his foster mom, and she found that he was lovable and loyal towards all people, both adults and children. Bubba is a Pit Bull mix, and he turns six years old January 30th. He has lived long enough to know he would prefer to be the only pet in his forever home. He also loves belly rubs, car rides, and being involved in all household activities. In his past, Bubba has had multiple hematomas and ear infections. His inner right ear is partially collapsed from this.

Honey

Honey

Honey is a shy gal who wasn’t feeling up to coming out of her kennel for a photo shoot just yet. Honey was originally found as a stray and her finder couldn’t keep her. You can imagine that she is more than a bit confused about her new surroundings and all these people suddenly trying to interact with her. Honey did warn us away with a half-hearted hiss, but softened when we went slow and gave her gentle pets. We are sure that as time goes on, Honey will warm up, and end up being as sweet as her name implies. Call 602-971-1334 for a meet and greet appointment with Honey. Honey is listed as a three-year-old Tortoiseshell mix. Her adoption fee is $85.
