 . ALICE .
 . ALICE .
  • Border Collie
  • Spayed/Neutered
  • Up-to-date with routine shots
Alice and her buddy Cooper were found as strays and turned in at the county shelter. The finder stated they were door-dashers, which might explain how they became strays in the first place. They also said the pups were good with the teenage children in their home. Alice is a four-year-old Border Collie mix weighing 39 pounds. She knows the command to sit, and her preference is to be sitting right in your lap. She and Cooper are buddies, keeping each other company while they wait for their forever homes. They can find homes separately; everything is just always more fun with a buddy. Alice can be a bit overwhelmed by other dogs and would probably love a home where she can be the princess. Alice is timid and will act like a bit of a tough guy in her kennel, but once you have her out and sit with her, she will melt like butter in your arms. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm.

Aurora is a 10-year-old, 52-pound Staffordshire Terrier and Labrador Retriever mix. Aurora was found as a stray and taken to the county shelter, where Home Fur Good fell in love. Aurora was briefly adopted out from HFG, but it was not the perfect fit. Aurora needs a home where the people are more homebodies. If you find pleasure from doing activities at home, then Aurora will be your shadow. If she is left alone, she will find ways to entertain herself and you might not appreciate how she entertained herself. Since she is an older girl, her eyesight and hearing are failing her, but this does not slow down her spunk. When it comes to humans, she wants to be a constant, devoted sidekick. Aurora will enjoy a stroll about town, some chores around the house, and then an amazing nap beside you. The adoption fee is $150 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm.

Bullseye needs a home where he will receive plenty of structured play and exercise. With consistent training and socialization, Bullseye will thrive in his forever home. Due to his size and energy level, he would do best in a home with older children and with an active family. Minker, The Stinker, is definitely a favorite at Home Fur Good. Why would we call this 18-pound six-year-old a Stinker? Not because it is an insult, to be sure! Minker has a great sense of humor and he is always ready for anyone to take him on any sort of adventure. The best part about Minker is that a trip from his kennel to the lobby of the shelter is going to be the best trip of his life. He is such a stinker because he will make you smile and laugh even when you do not want to. Minker is a Chihuahua mix with the agility skills of an antelope. He is able to leap a four-foot wall in a single bound; what a stinker! Minker is great with other dogs and loves to play with his doggie friends. He also likes to unwind by hanging out in a nice warm lap. He is the perfect combination of playful entertainer and snuggly lapdog. Remember, Minker is a Chihuahua, and he does like to push buttons and boundaries. Minker did take Basic Obedience back in the summer of 2017 and it may be a good idea to give him a refresher course. He would do best with an experienced Chihuahua owner who will not let him get away with shenanigans. Talk about your pleasantly plump doggies. Raleigh will melt your heart if you adore sausages with legs. OK, OK, she is adorable, but Raleigh needs a home that will help her find a lifestyle with a bit more activity and fewer treats. She is a 10-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua mix. She does not require fast-paced jogs; she is looking for easy strolls to keep her limber and mobile. Raleigh was taken to the county shelter as a stray. She had overgrown toenails and that, along with her weight, caused her difficulty with walking. Raleigh has no issue with being picked up and carried, but she needs to be able to get around on her own. County also removed three masses when she was spayed. Raleigh is the cutest, snuggliest muffin who makes sweet little grunt-grunt noises. Her new forever home will not regret one moment with her. The adoption fee is $150 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
