Our goal is to provide quality dental cleanings at a reasonable rate. Dental cleanings, which include removal of plaque and tartar, and polishing of teeth, are a preventative measure against the formation of periodontal disease which can lead to other health issues.
The following is Home Fur Good’s schedule of charges for Dental Cleaning:
Preliminary bloodwork and veterinary exam (required): $85/$88.40 [cash/credit price]
*Bloodwork is good for 30 days. Dental cleaning must be scheduled within that time frame.
Dental Cleaning Includes:
- Pre-anesthesia exam by veterinarian
- Intubation to protect airway
- Anesthesia
- Full dental cleaning – including above and below gum line
- Individual assessment and charting of each tooth, gum surfaces, and tongue with notation of any problem areas
- Tooth polishing to smooth enamel surfaces
- If needed – nail clipping
- If needed – IV Fluids
- If requested – digital x-ray to help diagnose below the gum line issues (additional cost,
see below)
We cannot provide an exact cost, as it is unknown beforehand. The following are guidelines:
- Base price dental cleaning: $450/$468 [cash/credit]
- additional $40/$41.60 [cash/credit] if pet over 60 pounds
- additional $50/$52 [cash/credit] if pet over 80 pounds
- In the event X-rays are needed, additional fee: $35/$36.40 to $60/$62.40 [cash/credit price]
- Extractions: $30/$31.20 up to $150/$156 per tooth [cash/credit price].
- Additional charges for pain medication and antibiotics, if needed

Please be aware that due to overwhelming demand, we are currently scheduling pre-dental blood draws and vaccine appointments approximately 2-3 weeks from date of submission.
Effective April 1, 2025: Cancellations within 48 hours and appointment no-shows will be assessed a $25 rescheduling fee when a new appointment is booked. Fee will be paid at time of checkout.
